Geography
Pattison is located at 29°49′10″N 95°59′0″W (29.819385, -95.983413). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.2 square miles (8.4 km²), all of it land.
Demographics
As of the census of 2000, there were 447 people, 166 households, and 126 families residing in the city. The population density was 137.8 people per square mile (53.3/km²). There were 186 housing units at an average density of 57.3/sq mi (22.2/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 81.43% White, 9.40% African American, 0.45% Native American, 0.89% Asian, 5.82% from other races, and 2.01% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 19.24% of the population.
There were 166 households out of which 36.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 62.7% were married couples living together, 12.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 23.5% were non-families. 21.7% of all households were made up of individuals and 9.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.69 and the average family size was 3.14.
